A new messaging application has been built for System 2.0 through MacOS 9.2.2. Cam Henlin has built an iMessage client that works through supporting software running on a newer Mac computer. Messages for Macintosh supports up to 10 conversations at a time, with the ability to open a new conversation if you know the recipient's address book entry. Visit the project's GitHub repository for setup guides.
